At Panel Plan we’ve been creating our ‘teacher wall’ for a number of years but this particular project, created for a special school in the three counties region, presented us with a somewhat unique challenge.
As you can see from the image above, running the length of the ceiling is a hoist mechanism which enables children with certain disabilities to interact with the wall.
Our expert fit-out team had to carefully position our panels in place so that the hoist mechanism can run smoothly and unhindered, enabling perfect access to the wall itself. As you can imagine, the tolerances where extremely fine, one slightly mis-placed panel and the hoist wouldn’t work.
Thankfully the whole process from design, manufacture and fitting went perfectly and everyone at the school now has full access to the learning tools at hand.
